This Blog will be about our lifestyle change from land based people to living aboard a 55 foot yacht on the water at the Washington, DC waterfront.
We made the decision to sell our luxury condo in the Crystal City section of Arlington, and buy a 54 foot Blue Water motor yacht early in the 2016 year. We found the yacht using one of the online boat sales media venues. The Blue Water is a custom built (only 12 were ever built), to the original owner’s specification. She has three bedrooms (staterooms or cabins), three bathrooms (heads), and more linen closet space than our half million dollar condominium apartment.
Our goal is to bring the yacht up to our standards, make her reflect our looks and make the Capital Yacht Club on the DC waterfront her home port.
